It may sound a bit hokey but one of the first things I try to do whenever I visit a new-to-me city, is to get on a hop on, hop off bus tour for an overview of the city. While it isn't the best mode of transportation for getting from point A to B, with mutilingual narration, these buses certainly help you determine what you want to see afterwards.

The Kentucky Derby, which has taken place each year since 1875, is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2013. Held at historic Churchill Downs in Louisville, it is called "the most exciting two minutes in sports." The event is filled with traditions: Mint juleps, the blanket of roses, the band playing My Old Kentucky Home, and HATS—of all colors, sizes and shapes. Take a peek at some of last year's standouts:

Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco, the business and economic center of the country, and site of the third largest port in Africa. Originally called Anfa, much of the contemporary city was rebuilt after the devastating earthquake of 1755, reflecting a blend of French and African influences.
