If you haven’t visited Las Vegas, or it’s been a while, perhaps it's time to visit. A place that perpetually reinvents itself, Las Vegas is an ideal destination for women travelers. Even if you don’t plan on dropping a quarter into a slot machine (not that there’s anything wrong with that), there's plenty to do here.
If you want drama, go to Broadway. If you want spectacular entertainment, Vegas is the venue. Cirque du Soleil mounts seven different music-and-acrobatics shows including the sexy "Zumanity," the twangy "Viva Elvis," the aquatic "O," the Beatles' "Love" and the magical Criss Angel "Believe."
Big names in lights include Celine Dion, who sings in the theater Caesars Palace built for her, and performers such as Elton John and Jerry Seinfeld who play to packed audiences. And those aren't the only choices. Penn & Teller, standup comedy clubs, the energetic "Jersey Boys" at the Palazzo, even "Menopause: The Musical" are all worth the cost of admission.
