What to Do in Las Vegas

If you haven’t visited Las Vegas, or it’s been a while, perhaps it's time to visit. A place that perpetually reinvents itself, Las Vegas is an ideal destination for women travelers.  Even if you don’t plan on dropping a quarter into a slot machine (not that there’s anything wrong with that), there's plenty to do here.

Go Shopping

I love to shop in Vegas. The variety and quality of stores here beats the retail offerings in just about every city in the USA outside of New York. So after I check in, my first stop in Vegas is usually the Fashion Show Mall on the Strip. It gathers Macy's, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Neiman Marcus all under one roof plus many smaller stores selling everything from jewelry and leather goods to Apple iPads.

The newer Crystals at CityCenter  (pictured) is even more aspirational, with many of the world's top luxury brands housed here. Among them: Hermès, Versace, Stella McCartney, Tom Ford, Prada, Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany & Co. and Yves St. Laurent. And shops at several of the casinos, including Caesar's Forum Shops and The Esplanades at Wynn and Encore, display everything from dresses to diamonds to drool over.
