WHAT DO YOU KNOW NOW THAT YOU DIDN'T KNOW IN YOUR 20s and 30s?
SIR ANTHONY HOPKINS, star of "Hitchcock" and screen legend
"I think it's important to embrace your insecurities and admit them at any age. For example, my first scene for 'Hitchcock' was shot in the desert. The camera pans over and I say his trademark line, 'Good, evveeeening!'
"There was no turning back because I was Hitchcock. I still said, 'Can I do it a few more times?' I did the line seven more times because I wanted to get it right."
"After I did my first scene, I had nightmares I didn't get it right.
"But that's fine because I think that nervous feeling helps you in life. It helps you at any age to work a little harder and always strive to be better.
"On 'Hitchcock,' I caught sight of myself on those video playbacks that have on movie sets and didn't want to see any more. I didn't know if I got it right. My insecurities were so deep that I wanted to run away.
"I finally saw the film and I was very pleased with what I saw. I didn't let those insecurities get the better of me, which is also key. Embrace your insecurities and then push through them."
